Dr. Jace Beattie received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Utah State University in 2005. He worked at a dental laboratory in Corvallis, Oregon before moving to Seattle to enroll at the prestigious University of Washington School of Dentistry. He earned his DDS degree in 2010 and was accepted into the Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics residency at the UW. During his residency, he completed a rigorous research project on the effect of orthodontics on quality of life to earn a Master of Science in Dentistry degree (MSD). He also received his Certificate in Orthodontics, which allows him to practice as an orthodontic specialist.
Dr. Beattie is an expert at creating beautiful, healthy smiles for children and adults. Being an orthodontist is truly his dream job. He looks forward to spending every day with his team and patients! He has extensive experience in all aspects of orthodontics, including braces, clear aligners, interdisciplinary care, early treatment, and even orthognathic surgery. He can skillfully manage the most complex orthodontic problem while customizing each plan to the unique situation and personality of each patient.
Dr. Beattie is a member of the Washington State Society of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and the American Association of Orthodontists. He enjoys increasing his knowledge and skills through continuing education and completes many more hours than the required minimum. He also finds fulfillment in sharing his knowledge by regularly lecturing to the UW Orthodontic residents.
When not in the office, you will find Dr. Beattie spending time with his wife, 10 year old daughter, and 8 year old son. He coaches baseball and soccer teams and enjoys volunteering at their school. They also like trips to the zoo, catching lizards, and backyard kickball games.
